Thanks a lot for the video. Now you got me all crazy about those instruments and the DaVinci robot… I also hope this will all get cheaper some day (maybe made in China?) and we will finally start our oncologic surgery with that stuff. By the way, are you doing any publishing related to robotic surgery in OB/GYN? Greetings from Switzerland.

You’re welcome. I may start using the instruments myself. I feel like the Davinci is overkill for smaller cases, but would like to use these to do single port laparoscopy for oopherectomies and some lap assisted hysterectomies. Novare has a training course they put on, so I’ll try to get hooked up on that soon.
The instruments are relatively expensive, but as you are using only 2 of them (about $400 x 2) and get to not use 2-3 other ports ($150 x 2-3) the cost increase isn’t huge. If you were using them through regular ports it would just be more expensive.
